Karni + Saul
I met Saul back in 2004 when we worked together at Jim Henson's Creature Shop in Camden Town, London. Over the years he worked as a character animator but always had goals to become a Director. One of his first commissioned promos was for AM where he worked along side his wife Karni . With Karin's background in photography and Saul's skills in animation/editing the two have continue to work together to complete some very stylish and entertaining work for various pop promo's and commercial work.

In 2007 Saul was nominated and commissioned by channel 4 to complete his short film 'The Red Suitcase'. It remains as one of my favorite animated shorts to date. Everything from the amusing knitted characters to the wonderful story of a young boy's passion for music works perfectly together to capture the imagination of anybody. It has a nice stop frame quality that questions whether or not these knitted characters are actually real and like most successful shorts, the attention to detail pulls it to another level.

I personally find the work of Karni + Saul very inspiring having produced so much quality work in such a small amount of time. Not only that but raising a family and moving away from London adds to the respect they deserve.
